    On Saturday February 15th, 2014 John Gaskin, III was sworn in as a voting member of the NAACP National Board of Directors. Gaskin is the youngest person ever elected to the national board of directors from St. Louis, in the organization’s 105-year history. Gaskin was also appointed by Chairman Roslyn M. Brock to serve with 15 other national leaders on the influential executive committee of the board.  John Gaskin is a Jr. Political Science student at Benedictine College in Atchison Kansas. He also serves as chair of the St. Louis County Branch annual freedom fund dinner. He is 21 years old.
